The art and science of fountain pens and ink

I guess I have to get a new car .. to get the pen!

In order to mark the 100 th anniversary of their Silver Ghost, Rolls-Royce has produced a limited edition, named the Phantom Silver. Only 25 of the special model will be made. Each car will include a specially commissioned solid silver Conway Stewart Duro fountain pen. The link to the press release, via autoblog.com

“The Conway Stewart writing set features three beautifully handcrafted writing instruments: a fountain pen, a propelling pencil and ballpoint pen. Each pen is engraved with the RR monogram and the inscription ‘Rolls-Royce’. ” As I noted above, apparently the fountain pen is a Duro model

Maybe I will just buy the pen?

If Tiger Woods used a fountain pen, it would be

a Conway Stewart Duro in Classic Green, reminding him of his office, i.e., the golf course?

a Visconti Augusta, recalling the fabulous Augusta National golf course, which he will use to eventually pass Jack Nicklaus in major tournament victories?

or an LM1 Flame Red by Classic Pens, representing his signature victory colour?
