I derive an incredible amount of enjoyment from collecting and using my fountain pens. But one of the best things I did was find a local pen club. Our group is small and pretty informal. We meet every Saturday morning for breakfast and (usually) to talk about a particular theme related to pens. We also occasionally meet with other pen groups in the area or travel to pen shows together – Michigan and Toronto are the closest. The breakfast is always good, the discussion is informative and fascinating (I am relatively new to the hobby compared to the others in my club) and the people I have met have been terrific.
