The art and science of fountain pens and ink

It’s not always about the bling!

There is nothing better than finding an inexpensive pen that writes like an Omas or Dupont! Lamy makes incredibly good products at unbelievable prices. Whether one of their fountain pens (like a Safari or Vista) or a rollerball like the Swift (pictured above in blue and anthracite), you can’t beat their style or value. The Swift even has a neat clip – it retracts when the rollerball is extended and raises when the rollerball retracts. The only problem I find is that whatever Lamy pen I buy, I had better buy two; my wife always “borrows” one! Case in point, I purchased the blue Swift, it “disappeared” and I had to buy a replacement (I selected one in anthractite so there would not be any confusion if the blue one ever appeared).
